By expressing our passions and living creative lives, we experience the world.
Stepping into the Live Creative world includes a boundless sense of freedom. Rules tend to fall away when the imagination is unleashed. Authors and artists have long suspended reality in support of their work, to the satisfaction of their imagination. They live creative.
We don’t have to be a master sculptor to Live Creative. Blending a dash of creative into moments of our everyday life can have a power effect. Simply being exposed to the arts inspires ideas at home and in the workplace. Renewing a hobby reduces stress just by being purely enjoyable. Teaching someone else the craft nurtures personal expression and offers an opportunity to see the world through another’s eyes.

NPPF Reid Blackburn Scholarship
NPPF scholarships are awarded to encourage those with the talent and dedication to photojournalism and who need financial help to continue their studies. These awards are directed toward those studying full-time or returning to college.
Reid Blackburn was a staff photographer until his death on May 18, 1980. He was on assignment at Mount St. Helens when it erupted and took his life. This award is only open to undergraduate students. Applicants must be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S. or Canada or have been accepted at a four-year institution to complete suspended studies. Must provide evidence of an aptitude for photojournalism as well as academic ability and financial need. For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider’s website.
CALIFORNIA COLLEGE OF THE ARTS – Creative Achievement Scholarship
This merit scholarship competition is open to all high school seniors applying for fall admission who have completed their admissions application by February 1.
Awards are based on a student’s academic achievement and creative ability (as demonstrated by their portfolio). The college awards more than 1.2 million dollars to entering first-year students.
The awards, which range up to $20,000, may be renewed for four years of full-time enrollment if the recipient maintains good academic standing.
CALIFORNIA COLLEGE OF THE ARTS – Diversity Scholarships
Diversity scholarships are awarded to qualified undergraduate and graduate admissions applicants who bring diverse experiences, ideas, and creative work to the CCA community.
Awards are based on a thorough review of the student’s application, essay (including additional essay topics), and portfolio.
The scholarships, in combination with other CCA scholarships, federal and state grants, can cover up to the full tuition for the academic year. The scholarships may be renewed for four years of full-time enrollment if the recipient maintains good academic standing.
A creative arts scholarship to foster and encourage the creative talents of individuals with a history of migration to obtain work in agriculture. Two grant levels in visual, media, or performing arts. Applications must be received by June 1 and Nov. 1 of each year for grants $500 and up.
