The third Tuesday in October is National Pharmacy Technician Day. It is a day to make an extra effort to thank technicians for their invaluable support and contributions throughout the year.
The annual event is endorsed by the American Association of Pharmacy Technicians (AAPT) and the Pharmacy Technician Educators Council (PTEC). National Pharmacy Technician Day coincides with National Hospital and Health-System Pharmacy Week, endorsed by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). Additionally, the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) has named October American Pharmacists Month.
