Even though they say “Business” these scholarships are “general” in nature!  So please take a look at them even if Business is not what you want to major in!

This major is often referred to as business administration and management. As a scholastic field, it trains individuals how to be business leaders and how to achieve the financial goals of a business or organization. It is the single most popular college major and as such is offered at nearly every college and university out there. Scholarship opportunities for business administration are also widely available, which will become plain as you continue reading.

NABA Scholarships – National Association of Black Accountants Inc.

Since its inception, NABA, Inc. has provided more than $11 million in scholarship funds to deserving students preparing to enter various accounting, finance and business professions. In the past two fiscal years (FY2016 and FY2017), NABA awarded over $195,000 and the amount continues to grow annually. Through the generous contributions of individuals, groups, and organizations that share NABA’s desire to break through the economic barriers students of color often experience, NABA offers an average of 50 national scholarships annually ranging from $1,000 – $5,000.

The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Program

The Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF) Scholarship program addresses the financial needs of college students and provides extensive, hands-on mentoring and support services. Once chosen from a national, selective application process, Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholars receive a generous four-year grant to attend the undergraduate school of their choice and enroll in JRF’s celebrated “42 Strategies for Success Curriculum”.  This four-year program guides JRF Scholars to effectively navigate their college environments, explore career options, develop leadership skills, and embrace a commitment to service. The program also promotes the values and character traits embodied in the heroic life of the Foundation’s namesake, encouraging Scholars to positively impact the lives of others.

The JRF scholarship is awarded to outstanding high school graduates who plan to earn a baccalaureate degree from an accredited, four-year college or university.

THE SIGMA CHI FOUNDATION – GENERAL ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS

The Sigma Chi Foundation seeks to recognize undergraduate brothers who have shown outstanding values-based leadership, maintained strong academic performance and who have demonstrated financial need through the General Academic scholarship.

Sigma Chi Foundation was pleased to provide $418,000 in scholarship awards to undergraduate brothers in 2016 to put towards their qualified educational expenses.

The application for the General Academic scholarship is open to undergraduates from any Sigma Chi chapter.

Through the Thomas Cowan Bell Chapter Challenge and the Donor-Scholar program a donor may create a designated academic scholarship for his home chapter.

Richard and Elizabeth Dean Scholarship

The Richard and Elizabeth Dean Scholarship awards two scholarships in the preferred amount of $5,000 each year for up to four consecutive years to graduating high school students. The selection process shall be based on academic merit with an initial minimum GPA of 4.0. Renewal is conditional upon maintenance of a GPA of 3.25.

This scholarship is renewable only after review and approval of the annual official transcript. Renewal transcript must be submitted to the Office of the Reporter General by July 1 of the year of renewal or the scholarship is forfeited.
